About
Where to start? In 1992, I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. degree in Speech Communication and an emphasis in Sales and Marketing. My career in mortgage started 2 years later after a brief stint with Hallmark Cards, Inc. It was always my intention to use my communication skills and background in sales of one sort or another. Fortunately, I didn’t end up in the true sense of sales, selling a tangible product. I got connected to the mortgage world through my Mom, who was a Realtor at the time. Nine of my 16 year career, I spent working as an in-house loan officer with a real estate firm. The past five have been spent with the MN Home Loan Partners team of Cornerstone Mortgage.
One of my passions is speaking, primarily educating. I have spoken to seniors at a few South metro high schools on the topic of credit. This is something that is always on my heart. I see way too much in terms of derogatory credit and KNOW if someone had educated these people as teens, they’d be in a much better place to buy a home. I’ve done quite a bit of speaking to Realtors on the mortgage process and in every single application, it’s a true education buying your first home.
Twice a month I co-teach first time home buyer seminars with a few awesome real estate partners. Once or twice a month I am heard on KTLK 100.3 as part of the MN Home Loan Partners team, which is a preferred partner of the MN Real Estate Show. Coming soon to your place of work, I will be educating teens (with their parents) about the importance of credit and budgeting.
My main source of business it two-fold — first time home buyers and past client referrals. I have made my mark in this community and truly appreciate all the growth I have received from past clients both professionally and emotionally. It’s an awesome thing to say “thank you” for trusting me with your friends, family and co-workers. I have brilliant and successful real estate partners I work with daily to help them grow their business through marketing and providing excellent care to their clients.
When not working, which doesn’t amount to a lot of time, I am blessed to spend time with my 3 year old twin girls, as well as my husband. I enjoy (and I am not kidding) organizing household spaces, such as closets, cupboards and rooms — if it’s in the house, I am sure it can be made better! I love, love, love taking pictures of my kids and photography in general.
So there you have it … me. My hope is we will meet soon so I can help you make your home purchase, or refinancing of your current home, a reality.
